Our guest today is Jane van Dis, MD, an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Rochester and faculty member in the Institute for Human Health and the Environment.
Dr. van Dis is a nationally and internationally recognized expert on the intersection of the climate crisis and women's/maternal health. She regularly lectures on this important topic.
In addition to her academic roles, Dr. van Dis has co-founded several influential organizations, including OBGYNs For Sustainable Future, TIMES UP Healthcare, and Equity Quotient. She also co-administers the 6,400-member OB Mom Group.
Further demonstrating her leadership in the field, Dr. van Dis serves as an Editor at the Journal of OB Hospitalist Medicine.
Outside of her professional accomplishments, Dr. van Dis is also a single mother to twins.
