Amy holds a PhD in Pharmacology from the University of Colorado and an MBA from Kansas State University. Her academic background includes studying breast cancer progression, stress signaling, and vaccine development.
However, Amy's personal experience with infertility sparked her passion to change the way infertility is diagnosed and treated. This led her to create an innovative hormone testing platform - Proov - that empowers women with information about their own fertility, allowing them to better advocate for their healthcare needs.
Proov is dedicated to equipping women at every stage of life with the ability to quickly and easily track their own hormones at home. This aligns with Amy's mission to provide women with the tools and knowledge to take charge of their reproductive health.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Amy lives in Boulder, Colorado with her husband and two children - one born via in vitro fertilization (IVF) and one "natural progesterone miracle." Her family also includes a Russian Turtle named Lazy and a Chinchilla named Dash.
With her unique blend of scientific expertise, entrepreneurial spirit, and personal experience, Amy is well-poised to share valuable insights on women's health, fertility, and the important work Proov is doing.
